Countdown Timer

A stage and production timer for speaker cues, show segments and broadcast rundowns. It shows amber and red warnings as time runs out, can keep counting into overrun, and fills a screen for the stage.

Operational Guide

Setting the Timer

  • Enter the duration in Hours, Minutes and Seconds, then click Load to set it.
  • Countdown: counts down from the set time to zero.
  • Count-up: starts from 00:00:00 and counts up.
  • After Zero: choose Flash Zeros (the digits flash at zero) or Show Negative (the timer keeps counting the overrun in negative time).

Warning Thresholds

  • Set two warnings, in seconds, for speaker cues.
  • Amber Warning: the digits turn amber when the time remaining reaches this value.
  • Red Warning: the digits turn red when the time remaining reaches this value.
  • In count-up mode, the warnings use the time elapsed: amber at the smaller value, red at the larger.
  • If both warnings apply, red takes priority.

Visual Feedback and Keyboard Shortcuts

  • The digits are green while the timer runs normally, amber from the amber warning and red from the red warning.
  • Use Fullscreen (or press F) to fill confidence monitors and downstage displays.
  • Keyboard shortcuts: S Start, X Stop (pause), R Load (reset), F Fullscreen on or off.
